Maternity Photographer Session: Kelsy and Cody

Celebrating New Beginnings Nestled in the heart of the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains, Franklin, NC provided the picturesque backdrop for Cody and Kelsy’s beautiful maternity session!  Surrounded by the tranquility of nature, Kelsy and Cody capture the essence of their love and anticipation of their sweet baby girl! Mom-to-be, Kelsy is serenely beautiful!  You will see in the portraits that she is just glowing!  Franklin, North Carolina abounds with scenic beauty.   For their session we selected three locations: a park along the Little Tennessee River Greenway, a historic home, and a country road for their golden hour maternity session.   Mom-to-be, Kelsy is serenely beautiful!  You will see in the portraits that she is just glowing!  She selected a neutral olive green dress and a more-formal white lace dress both stunning for a Spring Maternity Session. The delicate white lace maternity dress exudes elegance, femininity, and timeless beauty. Maternity Sessions are a celebration of the beauty of motherhood and opportunity to savor every moment of this beautiful time in life!  As they prepare to embark on the adventure of parenthood, these timeless memories will serve as a testament to the bond they share and the joy that awaits them in the days to come. Celebrating the Beauty of Motherhood Maternity Sessions are a celebration of the beauty of motherhood and opportunity to savor every moment of this beautiful time in life!  Maternity is one of my favorite sessions to photograph; there is a natural excitement and love in everyone’s face!  Pregnancy is a chapter of a new beginning in any stage in your life and documenting it is something you will never regret doing. Whether it only happens only once or a handful of times, your pregnancy is a special time in your life that deserves to be documented. As a photographer, I am all about capturing moments; fleeting moments that can never be reproduced. Portraits to document your family’s exciting journey that will become part of your family story.  “We LOVED our experience working with Coley!  It was so light hearted & felt very natural. She was such a delight. I highly recommend booking with her to capture those special moments!”

Cake Smash and Splash Photography Panache Photography

Cake Smash Photographer: Theo’s first birthday

Smash & Splash sessions are designed to showcase a baby’s very first birthday. Smash & Splash sessions are all about sweet little firsts, usually the first time a baby has tried cake, first birthday portraits, and first birthday invitations.  You can certainly take annual birthday portraits to celebrate every birthday, but the Smash & Splash sessions are all about that first birthday milestone.  A perfect timeframe to book your Smash and Splash session is typically when your baby is 10 to 12 months old.  Smash and splash sessions are truly a celebration of how much growth a baby has done in their first year; as every parent knows, it’s a dramatic transformation!  Theo is an adorable one year old!  He has the longest eyelashes and the biggest smile, total little charmer!  “Amidst the sweet chaos of frosting and laughter, the first birthday cake smash captures a moment of sheer joy and innocence. It’s more than just a messy tradition; it’s a celebration of growth, love, and the precious memories we create together.” We started the Smash & Splash session with portraits in his little dress-up outfit complete with bowtie; isn’t he adorable! Theo’s parents are both gamers and first his birthday they selected a classic, Mario Brothers themed party!  For the session, they brought in brick blocks to the studio to use in the Smash & Splash session and later feature as party decor at his first birthday party.  Theo had the cutest Mario Brothers outfit and those adorable “little man” boots.  And check out this Mushroom cake, styled just like the ones on Mario Brothers!  When we placed the cake in front of him, he was very curious and couldn’t wait to dig-in.  When he tried that first bite he quickly decided he didn’t really like cake…at least that day! After the cake smash, Theo loved playing and singing in the little bathtub!  The little bathtub offers a chance to clean up a little after the cake investigation and got lots of pictures of him splashing and laughing in the tub.  What a fun cake smash session with an adorable little boy!  Happy first birthday Theo! “Coley was so great with the kids — she was so patient with them and she always does a wonderful job with the pictures and provides them quickly. She is definitely our go-to for any of our photography needs!” 🩷 Christy

Brand Photography: Hazelwood Soap Session

It’s hard to imagine how good all of the products at Hazelwood Soap are unless you’re there in person! However, just writing this article, makes me want to go light my Creme Brulé candle! Brand photography is very strategic in nature and makes a company more relatable and human. Brand photography offers a unique opportunity to create a visual brand identity for your business and increase engagement with your audience.  In fact, sixty-five percent of people are visual learners!  Your brand photography session helps your audience to better understand who your business is? Who you for?  What services and products your business offers? I thoroughly enjoyed working with Alyssa and Lilly at Hazelwood Soap!  This branding session was so much fun!  For the session we incorporated three of Hazelwood Soap’s branding colors: pale pink, sage green, and beige.  Alyssa wanted the bulk of the pictures from the session to focus on their vast array of products and gift options for the upcoming holiday season.  We wanted to highlight the company’s small batch, handmade process. Lilly is so beautiful!  She is a cashier at Hazelwood Soap and our beautiful model for the session!  Here are pictures of Lilly showing off the handmade shea bar soaps, pajamas, and store displays. Their products are all handmade, hand poured, and made in small batches right in Hazelwood, North Carolina.  They utilize all natural ingredients, and the scents they have cultivated are amazing. Hazelwood Soap has an amazing array of products: versatile wash, reed infusers, shea butter soaps, soy candles, lotions, socks, bathrobes, pajamas, make-up brushes, and much more!  If you are ever near the Wood in Waynesville, you should check out Hazelwood Soap! And here are a couple of Instagram carousels we developed with five of the brand photos from our session to feature in their social media holiday gift guides.

Senior Graduate Photography Panache Photography

Senior Photography Session: Lee Gibson – PANACHE

I am so excited to share Lee’s beautiful college Senior Graduation session in Sylva, North Carolina.  Lee is a Western Carolina University, Catamount graduate with a degree in professional writing.     Graduating from college signifies not only academic accomplishment but also personal growth and development. Senior Sessions provide an opportunity to reflect on this journey and celebrate how far the graduate has come. Capturing a senior college graduation photoshoot is a meaningful way to mark the end of one chapter and the beginning of another, while creating lasting memories to cherish for a lifetime.  For her session, Lee wanted feature two family heirlooms as props: a mink stole and dinner ring. Both items she inherited from her grandmother.  I love it when clients bring props and especially ones with sentimental value!  As a lover of antiques and items with a story; don’t threaten me with a good time!     Lee selected three really fun outfits that really showcased her personality! I love the white lace dress she paired with the mink stole and also paired with her cap and gown.  Cap and Gowns are a necessity for her Senior Graduation session, even just to get a few portraits featuring the cap and gown to celebrate this big milestone of graduation. The second outfit is this casual white shirt and vest; which feels so fun and free-spirited. And the third outfit she selected was this red full-length April Cornell dress, with oh my goodness pockets, was so striking with the setting sun! Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina was founded in 1889. Some of the buildings on campus date back to the turn of the century and the formation of the college.  For Lee’s graduation portraits we wanted to feature historical brick; which seems to have so much character in every brick.  This building was constructed in 1917 and has lots of beautiful architectural details.   Your graduation headshot isn’t just a picture; it’s your professional introduction to the world. It’s the image that speaks volumes about your ambition, dedication, and readiness to take on new challenges. The other location we scoped out for Lee’s session is this gorgeous 1920s dairy barn. This one of the most beautiful barns I’ve ever seen!  I love the small plank boards used in the construction.  I also love how this dark color wood was the perfect compliment to feature her red full-length dress.    I thoroughly enjoyed working with Lee and taking her graduation portraits! I hope you love this gallery as much as I do!
